About Bruewer Woodwork

History of Bruewer Woodwork
Bruewer Woodwork began as a one-man operation on August 11, 1963. That is when August Bruewer started building cabinets and furniture for the residential market in the basement of his home. August Bruewer was a fully qualified master craftsman in cabinet making when he arrived in the United States in 1958. He earned his certification after thirteen years of intensive training as an apprentice in his native land of West Germany.
The combination of August Bruewer’s skills and the public’s desire for quality craftsmanship resulted in continuous growth for the business. In 1967 Bruewer Woodwork moved into a 10,000 square foot facility and became a competitor in the custom millwork industry.
Today, the Company’s 165,000 square foot production facility includes the most advanced equipment for the fabrication of wood and plastic laminate cases, cabinets, moldings, furniture, wall trims, doors, industrial parts and custom millwork. Not only does Bruewer have the most advanced equipment but very talented craftsmen who have been taught the old world skills and take pride in the work that they do. These skills have also been acquired by the second generation of Bruewer Woodwork’s management, who are actively directing the present day operations of the company. August Bruewer’s sons, Ralph and Gary, and son-in-law Rick, all have extensive experience in every facet of the operation, which includes sales, engineering, manufacturing, and installation, continuing the well respected reputation of Bruewer Woodwork.
